The fabulosity that is Ivanka Trump tweeted this this morning that she will be launching a line of affordable handbags next March.
Ivanka already has a snazzy jewelry collection and plans in the works for a shoe line collaboration with Marc Fisher (“Ivanka Trumpers” maybe? lol).
Here’s what the heiress tweeted today – “Just concluded a meeting with my handbag partners. The bags looking amazing! Ladies..you’ll love them! The line will be in stores next March!” and when asked by a “regular” follower if the “regular” woman would be able to afford the bags Ivanka responded, “Yes!! I want them to be accessible to everyone!”.
I’m imaging a Hermes lookalike for some reason. Something you can take to the board room as well as Sunday brunch.
Gotta Love her.

So I’ve officially been living in the Big Apple for almost 6 months.
It feels like just yesterday I was dreaming/worrying about moving here and now I fully feel like a “New Yorker” – I’m walking faster, wearing whatever, going to brunch and loving nature lol.
Some of my best days ever are spent at the Brooklyn Bridge Park – Im usually the single female tanning on the lawn without a book (Its way too hot to even pretend to read).

People here exude a coolness I have never seen before. Everyone is busy and the city literally never sleeps.
Fortunately, I landed a pretty cool gig which makes for good conversation with these very busy and important cool people. I’m assistant to a busy NY socialite which has been an exciting opportunity to say the least. And every time I tell someone “I’m assistant to so and so” and they react with amazement…I get kinda “amazed” at the fact that well…I guess its kind of a big deal for a small island girl such as myself who just moved here.
Anyhow, NY was exactly what I needed and its a dream come true to be on such a remarkable journey. Now dont get me wrong, as with everything/everywhere being alone in a new city has its cons, but more importantly it has toonsss of cool pros and I know its just a matter of time before I fully get into the groove.
So for the record…as cliche as it may be…I love NYC!
Love,
LM

I have decided to make Spring my favorite season. The weather is perfect…not too hot, not too cold…flowers begin blossoming and you get to wear your summer dresses as well as fall cardigans. Whats not to love?
Its the season of wardrobe collaborations, making spring time the perfect season for every fashionista.
4 Top Spring Trends
1. The Little White Dress – Officially one of my top things to hunt for when I get a little extra cash this Spring. Say “so long” (temporarily) to the LBD staple and say a big Spring “Haluuuuu” to the Little WHITE dress. Thats right ladies, this spring is all about the refreshing simplicity of the little white number.

2. Major Military – Can military inspired blazers ever get old? They are the ultimate structured piece with just enough buttons and lapels to keep anyone looking major. Pair this recurring trend with your favorite dress or jeans and heels for an “official” look.

3. Impact Patterns – Prints are huugeee this spring. From tribal to floral, get ready to make a statement with big bold prints paired nicely with bright bold colors.

4. Peekaboo Cutouts – This season’s pieces are putting emphasis on some otherwise rarely exposed body parts. My fave – cutouts showcasing one’s decolletage. Something about it just looks ultra mod without being too revealing.

“Woooooowwww” is literally what I said to myself when I saw this…
The Hublot F1 King is the love child of a recent collaboration between Swiss watch manufacturer Hublot and Formula One Management.
Its like Batman meets Michael Shumacher. No joke.

Please make sure its a MANLY man bag.
A friend of mine went to China last year and was completely disturbed by the number of men carrying female handbags. A trend signifying the sudden need for men to have something to carry their wallets and keys in? (insert blank stare here).
The Man Bag has become an epidemic somewhat similar to the Snuggie. Its here to stay and we somehow just have to learn how to move on with our daily lives.

What happened to the good old briefcase? Perfect for carrying documents and other important things? Why do we now have to share our favorite designer purses with a new demographic…men who are possibly even more willing to spend their cash on cleverly crafted leather Louis Vuitton purses, thus signaling a possible future shortage in the handbag industry! (Ladies…grab your clutches).
Its actually pretty terrifying…HOWEVER, below lies an example of a possible solution for men looking to get a handbag…I mean man bag.

Raf Simon’s “Work Bag”
Its sturdy yet fashionable design makes it manly and presentable for a casual day out. While this is a pricey example ($1,175) I think this is the kind of look men should go for when selecting a bag (for whatever it is they need to carry).
Guys please avoid bags that can be carried on the shoulder (unless its a book bag/ school bag). Also please stay away from chain purses, hobo styled bags, clutches and anything else in the women’s department.

The Herve Leger Fall 2010 collection is all about the re-invention of the bandage dress (insert applause here).
The designer put a refreshing spin on things by adding a few interesting design details to the signature piece, extending its “shelf life” on every woman’s wish list.
The collection’s modern update, gives the staple more of an edge without affecting its wear-ability for the everyday fashionista. The detailing includes velvet trims, futuristic folds emphasizing the hip, fastening with the use of laces and sheer cut outs.
Here are a few of LM.com’s favorite looks from the collection!
